Our event "The Wisdom of the Poem" at the Hellenic Centre in London – 18/09/2015

With impressions like the above, our big event The Wisdom of the Poem-an innovative approach was concluded at Friday 18/09/2015 in London.

The whole previous time we as well as the Hellenic Centre had constantly reservations of seats and the room, capacity of 80 people, was literally full.

Attendees, residents of London of every nationality, Greeks of the Diaspora, the director and other executives of the Hellenic Centre were welcomed by the President of Omilos Eksipiretiton. "The powers of the Spirit are scattered in rays of light. To light up a torch you have to concentrate the beams of light and the best way to do that is Poetry", he said as he opened the evening.

Then, the head of Megas Seirios publications, Ms P. Kostopetrou did the main presentation of Omilos' method for the analysis of the poetry and also did the analysis of the two poems by K. Kavafis and A. Sikelianos.

Everyone observed with undiminished interest and the presentation gave the incentive for a big conversation about the method of deepening we presented but especially to the specific analysis of the poems. Many spoke about the power of this method to raise high the concepts and many inquiries and opinions were expressed. The discussion was so vivid that almost all attendees stayed much longer after the end of the presentation to know each other better and to discuss even more.

Indeed many were interested in general for the work of Omilos and our presence in England and expressed their interest for the self-study group we have in London.

Our journey was concluded with some more meetings where new ideas and suggestions were made for presentations in London and more!

The heads of Omilos also met with our group in London and did personal appointments with the members.
