Event at the open theatre of Sofiko

On Friday 26 August 2011, in the beautiful open theatre of Sofiko, the Spiritual Centre Omilos Eksipiretiton (the Servers' Society) hosted a night dedicated to philosophy and poetry.

The event opened with the presentation of the life and the work of the great philosopher Socrates, generating some interesting ideas to the audience which constituted the incentive for a warm conversation on philosophical thinking and its role in the expression of our inner self.

A tribute to poetry procceeded. Recently awarded at the World Congress of Poets held in Larissa, Ms Voula Kostopetrou the person in charge of Megas Seirios Publications and our associate Ms Christodoulidi recited their winning poems. Ms Vasiliki Ergazaki recited poems from her new collection “Small Temples on a Wave”, while other associates of our publishing house recited abstracts from collections soon to be published.

The magical landscape and the starry night composed the scenery for the presentation of Chorodromena which concluded this lovely night.
