Kostopetrou Paraskevi

Paraskevi Kostopetrou was born in Lamia, Greece in 1962 and studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business. She lives in Athens with her husband and her son. She is working as a Finance Manager in major companies; during her leisure time, she enjoys writing poetry and literary works, amongst other creative activities.

 

In 2011, she received the Third World Literary Prize at the National Literary Competition, organised by the Asociacion Cultural Helenica NOSTOS in Argentina, for the short story "The Sacred Dance of the Caryatids" which she co-wrote with fellow writer V. Makri.

 

In 2011, she was also awarded a prize of "Recognition and Appreciation of Excellence in Poetry" in the 22nd World Congress of Poets (WCP) held by the United Poets Laureate International (UPLI).
